From a simple beginning in 1996 to a growing group serving industries across India and beyond, S&T Group celebrates more than three decades of trust, growth and innovation.

Every journey has a beginning.

Ours began in 1996, with a simple purpose — to support the growing needs of the Indian manufacturing industry.

At the time, we started our journey by supplying machine tool accessories and milling machines. We saw a growing need in the Indian market and believed there was an opportunity to help industries find the right machines and solutions to move forward.

What began with a small team and a clear purpose slowly grew into something much bigger.

Over the years, the industry changed. Customer expectations changed. Technology evolved. And with every change, we chose to learn, adapt and grow.

That became the foundation of S&T Group.

Growing with the Indian Manufacturing Industry

In the early years, our focus was simple: understand our customers, build strong relationships and provide solutions they could rely on.

As our journey progressed, we began looking beyond individual products. We started building relationships with leading companies around the world, bringing new possibilities to Indian industries.

Our association with Makino, followed by partnerships with YCM, EXCETEK and TEDERIC, marked important steps in this journey.

These partnerships gave us more than products to offer. They gave us knowledge, experience and a deeper understanding of what Indian manufacturers needed.

With every new relationship, we became better equipped to support our customers.

But our journey was not limited to manufacturing alone.

A New Chapter in Healthcare

In 2014, S&T took a step into a completely different field with the start of S&T Healthcare.

We entered the healthcare sector with a medical care unit built on the same values that had guided us from the beginning — precision, quality and reliability.

This was another important moment in our journey.

It showed that our vision was growing beyond a single industry. We were ready to explore new opportunities, enter new sectors and use our experience to create value in different areas.

And as we expanded our horizons, another thought was taking shape.

What if we could do more than bring machines to India? What if we could build them here?

A Vision to Manufacture in India

Before 2015, we had already begun looking towards the next chapter.

India’s manufacturing industry was growing, and we believed the future called for stronger local capabilities. We wanted to move from being a company that supplied machines to becoming a company that could also build solutions in India.

In 2015, that vision became a reality.

We began our manufacturing journey under the STM brand, starting with VMC machines. Alongside this, we also entered EDM machine manufacturing through a co-production venture with EXCETEK.

It was a defining moment for S&T.

The journey had moved from supplying machines to creating them.

It was our step towards Make in India — a vision that continues to influence our growth even today.

One Step Led to Another

Once we entered manufacturing, there was no looking back.

In 2017, we expanded into the manufacturing of plastic injection moulding machines. Around the same time, we also entered the e-commerce space with Technocart, taking industrial equipment and products into the digital marketplace.

Technocart was created as a convenient e-commerce platform for industrial products, making it easier for businesses to discover and access the equipment and supplies they need.

The journey also grew with the introduction of Pronix, a brand for material-handling equipment. From forklifts and stackers to pallet trucks and other industrial handling solutions, Pronix expanded our presence into another important area of industrial operations.

This marked another step in our journey – bringing our understanding of industrial needs into the digital world and making industrial products more accessible to customers.

Our journey was no longer limited to one segment.

We were gradually becoming a group with the ability to serve different industries and different needs.

In 2018, we added WIM to our portfolio and conducted our first STM Open House in Coimbatore, bringing our solutions closer to customers.

In 2019, our relationship with YCM grew further through a joint venture.

Then came another important opportunity.

In 2020, we entered the laser cutting segment with SENFENG, opening the door to another growing area of Indian manufacturing.

Each step was guided by the same belief that had been with us from the beginning:

If the industry is changing, we must be ready to change with it.

Growing Through Trust

By 2021, our journey had reached another important milestone — we celebrated 25 years as a successful machine tools distributor.

For us, this was more than a milestone.

It represented the trust of our customers, the strength of our partnerships and the dedication of our people.

And as we celebrated 25 years, we were already preparing for the next chapter.

Creating Our Own Path

The years that followed brought a stronger focus on building our own identity and capabilities.

In 2022, we launched SKITEK, our own machine tool brand.

This was another important step in our journey — from representing global brands to developing and strengthening our own offerings.

In 2023, we continued to expand with new machine solutions and capabilities.

In 2024, our joint venture with SENFENG further strengthened our presence in laser cutting manufacturing.

By 2025, we had expanded our capabilities further with the launch of STM HMC machines.

Each milestone reminded us of how far we had come — and how much more there was to achieve.

S&T Group Today

Today, in 2026, S&T Group proudly celebrates 30+ years of Building, Innovating and Growing.

More than three decades ago, we started with machine tool accessories and milling machines.

Today, our journey spans multiple businesses and industries, including machine tools, CNC machine manufacturing, plastic machinery, laser technology, e-commerce, healthcare and fitness.

Our growth has always been driven by one simple belief – move forward with purpose and create value for the people we serve.

Looking Ahead

Thirty years is a milestone worth celebrating, but it is also a beginning.

As industries continue to change, we are ready to embrace what comes next — with more innovation, stronger solutions, local manufacturing and new possibilities.
