House of Doolittle Celebrates 25 Years of ERP Software Bliss

THE WOODLANDS, TX, Aug. 30, 2022 – When a manufacturing customer stays with
the same ERP provider for 25 years, the relationship is undoubtedly working to the
benefit of both organizations. Global Shop Solutions, a leading provider of ERP
software for manufacturers, is proud to announce the 25th anniversary of House of
Doolittle® as a loyal customer.

Based in Arlington Heights IL, House of Doolittle makes calendars, planners, desk pads
and other paper-based productivity products, for office, promotional, collegiate, and
personal use. The company implemented Global Shop Solutions ERP software in 1997
and has been using it to grow their business and serve their customers more effectively
ever since.

“We stay with Global Shop Solutions for many reasons – great people, a great product,
and tech support,” says Ann Suplee, Systems Manager for House of Doolittle. “But our 1 reason is the ability to tailor the software to meet our unique needs. We do a lot of things differently than most manufacturers, and from day one Global Shop Solutions has worked with us to create custom programs and applications to handle all the things we do in our unique way. They listen to us and then develop creative ERP solutions to meet our needs.”

Over the years, House of Doolittle has tailored the software to include creating new
screens to eliminate cumbersome third-party databases, a Shipment Validation program
that transformed the shipping process, and Serial Shipping Container Code (SSCC)
labeling that enabled House of Doolittle to ship in accordance with EDI ASN 856
receiving requirements for large customers like Amazon.

Recently, House of Doolittle launched their eCommerce website, made possible by
Global Shop Solutions’ integration capabilities. Customers can now place orders 24/7,
and all the data goes directly into the ERP system without the need for manual entry.
“Global Shop Solutions is more of a business partner than a vendor,” says Suplee.

“They‘re constantly looking for ways to help us simplify our manufacturing and use the
software more effectively. We recently engaged with them in a business tune-up that
resolved several problems. We also turned on some system features we had previously
overlooked, simplifying jobs for a number of people.”

“House of Doolittle is the kind of customer that makes our company and product better,”
says Dusty Alexander, President and CEO of Global Shop Solutions. “Their unique way
of doing business challenges us to look at manufacturing differently and opens our
thinking to new ways of getting things done. We thank them for their loyalty,
congratulate them on their stellar growth over the past 25 years, and look forward to
seeing what will come out of our relationship in the future.”
