February-March were the busiest months for me. I got the opportunity to fly to Thun, a town in the canton of Bern in Switzerland to attend Studer Ag Motion Meeting. This was a 2-day event where the Studer management presented the company’s growth plans and answered questions on all aspects of their work. I got the rare opportunity to interact with journalists who had come in from different parts of the world to attend the event.
My heartiest thanks to the Studer’s Indian and global management teams for inviting Dynamic Manufacturing India magazine team to attend this extraordinary gathering.
I took some time off the event to visit Grindelwald, a stunningly scenic town located in Switzerland’s Bernese Alps.
This was an experience to last a lifetime.
My most memorable moment of this visit was taking in the awe-inspiring sight of the majestic Eiger Mountain, with its snow-capped ascent towering above us, leaving all of us mesmerized and extremely humbled. One of the things Eiger is famous for is its North Face, an almost vertical climb of imposing limestone and black ice, considered to be one of the most challenging ascents in the world. It has inspired movies like The Eiger Sanction, a 1975 thriller directed by none other than Clint Eastwood, who also starred in it.
From there I travelled to Germany to attend the Hannover Messe 2023 (HM23) press meet. It was a fully packed event with presentations on what the Hannover show will be focussing on this year. Many exhibitors talked about their products and technologies which they will be displaying at the event. The industry-leading show is scheduled to take place from the 19th to 21st of April.
Back home, the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi, the Consulate General of Italy in Mumbai, and the IICCI – Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted “ITALIAN TECH in INDIA” in mid-March.
The event was conducted in two phases. The first phase was held at the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi from Friday 3rd to Sunday 5th March 2023. The second phase, the exhibition, was hosted at the Auto Cluster Exhibition Center in Pune from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th March 2023. Dynamic Manufacturing India magazine was present at the event. We are thankful to Mr. Luca Matteucci, MD Marposs India, for inviting us to the event.
Our current issue of Dynamic Manufacturing India magazine is focused on the Electric Vehicle sector, and also features a Budget Special for 2023. Moving forward, we are gearing up to launch the new season of Makers & Movers.
