Management Comment
Mr. Vivek Vikram Singh, MD & Group CEO, commented: “Q2 FY27 was almost a perfect quarter for us, across all business metrics like financial performance, technology and new product development, new orders, cashflow generation and the conferring of the Deming Award after a 9-year quality journey.
Revenue, EBITDA and PAT reached all-time highs, surging 35%, 23% and 29% year on year, respectively. BEV revenue grew 129% year on year, taking its share of automotive revenue to a record level of 51%. We also commercialised three new products, our highest-ever in a quarter, which includes a helical limited slip differential for EVs, air springs for railway passenger coaches and rear radar sensors for two-wheelers.
We secured Rs 36 billion in new business, taking our net order book to Rs 251 billion, second-highest quarter end level. Cash generation was equally strong. In H1FY27, we generated more than one and a half times the free cash flow from operations compared to whole of FY26. This combination of strong growth, new products, order wins and cash generation gives us greater confidence in our 10X ambition under Sona Comstar 2.0”
